Winter puts footwear to the test: road salt, frozen mud, and constant moisture. Fortunately, our SEBS boots (such as the Thunder or Anoki) are extremely easy to maintain. A simple rinse with lukewarm water is enough to remove corrosive residues like salt.
For the fur lining, the golden rule is drying. After a day in the snow, don't give in to the temptation of placing your boots against a radiator or fireplace! Direct heat can warp the waterproof shell. Remove the insole if it is removable, stuff the boot with newspaper to absorb moisture, and let it dry at room temperature in a ventilated room. This will ensure the fur remains plush and insulating year after year.
