Warm boots

Warmth and Comfort: the guide to lined boots for the whole family

As winter sets in, the garden turns into a magical playground, but it also becomes a challenge for our extremities. Whether it’s an impromptu snowball fight, a walk through a frosty forest, or simply your daily commute, having cold feet is the surest way to ruin the moment. At Blackfox, we believe that style and thermal comfort should be accessible to everyone, from the littlest ones to the grown-ups. That’s why we’ve developed a range of warm boots that combine essential waterproofing with cozy linings.

Forget heavy, bulky snow boots. Our winter models are designed to be worn in the city and the countryside alike. Thanks to innovative materials that mimic suede or leather, you can maintain a polished look while enjoying total protection against the cold and damp.

The secret to a great warm boot: Waterproofing and Insulation

For a boot to stay warm in the long run, it must first and foremost stay dry. A wet lining is a guarantee that you'll be cold within minutes. This is where the strength of our design lies:

  • An impenetrable barrier (SEBS): The majority of our warm boots, such as the famous Cheyennetoo range, are made from synthetic rubber (SEBS). This material is molded (without leaky seams), 100% waterproof, and—most importantly—phthalate and chlorine-free. It remains flexible even in freezing temperatures.
  • A thermal cocoon: On the inside, we use a dense polyester synthetic fur. It traps warm air around the foot and features hydrophobic properties: it does not absorb moisture and dries very quickly. This combination of a waterproof shell and a warm core is what guarantees your comfort.

Expert Advice: Caring for your lined boots

To keep the magic alive winter after winter, simple but regular maintenance is required. The synthetic rubber (SEBS) outer shell is very easy to clean: a little soapy water, a sponge, and your boots will look as good as new. Don’t be afraid to scrub the "suede" finish of the Cheyennetoo—it’s designed to be tough!

The most important part is drying the lining. After use, it’s tempting to place your boots near a radiator or fireplace: this is the one mistake you must absolutely avoid! Direct heat can warp the waterproof material. Instead, opt for air-drying in a room-temperature area. If the interior is damp (from perspiration or snow), stuff the boots with newspaper to absorb the moisture overnight.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Is the "suede" finish of the Cheyennetoo fragile?
Not at all! It’s a Blackfox technical achievement: it is actually synthetic rubber that has been brushed to mimic the texture of suede. This gives you the chic look of nubuck, but with total resistance to water, mud, and stains. A simple wipe with a sponge is all it takes.

Faut-il choisir une taille au-dessus pour les enfants ?
Children’s feet grow quickly, and we often tend to have them wear thick socks in winter. Our Cheyennetoo Kids models fit true to size, but the lining takes up a bit of space at first before settling down. If your child is between sizes or wears very thick socks, going a size up can be a good choice to ensure an insulating layer of air.

Is the Thunder boot heavy?
Despite its rugged appearance, the Thunder benefits from the lightweight properties of SEBS material. It was designed to reduce foot fatigue while walking, making it the perfect companion for long strolls or extended outdoor work.
